Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that the United States Department of Energy (DOE) has selected Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) – a joint venture led by a subsidiary of BWX Technologies, Inc., with Fluor and Amentum – to execute the Savannah Project Integrated River Site Mission Completion Contract (SRS). The single indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract is valued at $ 21 billion over a 10-year order period.

The scope of work of the contract includes the stabilization and disposal of liquid waste, and potentially the management and stabilization of nuclear material, as well as other requirements.

The SRMC team also includes two small shortlisted companies, DBD and Wesworks, owned by a woman, which respectively provide specialist expertise in simulation and modeling and project control.
SRS is a 310 square mile site that encompasses parts of South Carolina’s Aiken, Barnwell, and Allendale counties and is bordered to the west by the Savannah River and Georgia.
