The Kairos International School celebrated World Environment Day on June 5. The school principal, teachers and students were present for the event. The students were all dressed in green clothes.
The principal greeted the students with an opening speech giving an overview of the importance of the day. She made the students aware of the need to take immediate action to save the environment and Mother Earth.
A class VI student addressed the audience with an informed speech and asked everyone to spread the awareness of saving the environment. He called on everyone to do their part by stopping using plastic bags, stop wasting food, start using public transport to save fuel and start recycling for a green tomorrow. Children should lead the eco-revolution and become agents of change, he said.
