NCL, Singrauli organizes seminar on environmental management

Northern Coalfields Limited, Singrauli hosted an Environmental Management Seminar with Best Practices for Sustainable Mining on Sunday at MDI at its headquarters. Former CMD NCL TK Nag, CMD, NCL PK Sinha, Dir (Tech / Op), WCL, AK Chaudhary, Dir (Tech / P & P), MCL, Baban Singh, Director (Personnel), NCL Bimlendu Kumar, Director (Tech / Op .), NCL Dr Anindy Sinha, Director (Finance), NCL RN Dubey, ex-CGM NCL RK Sharma Managing Directors of MCL and NCL and other officials attended the seminar. Ex-CMD NCL TK Nag shared his experience in the coal industry and brought global best practices and their adaptability to Indian coal mines.

He also expressed his point of view on the global and Indian energy scenario. Detailing his background at Coal India, he also gave management lessons and best wishes to NCL for its future growth. CMD NCL Prabhat Kumar Sinha, speaking on the occasion, said that NCL is one of the most successful subsidiaries of Coal India. He recalled a series of key strategic decisions taken in the past that paved the way for remarkable progress and inclusive growth of the company.

He also highlighted the need for such experience and knowledge sharing seminars for the adoption of best practices and to address the challenges in the era of paradigm shift in the energy sector. AK Chaudhary, Director (Technical / Operations) of the Nagpur-based Coal India subsidiary and Baban Singh, Director (Technical / Project and Planning) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited presented best practices in environmental management and sustainability.
