The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission will meet March 9-10

The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission (EMC) will meet on Wednesday and Thursday, March 9 and 10, 2022 in the ground floor hearing room of the Archdale Building at 512 N. Salisbury St, Raleigh. Face coverings are optional for staff and participants. The number of places will be limited and the public will be able to attend via remote access.   • 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Air Quality Committee
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Groundwater and Waste Management Committee
  • 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Water Quality Committee

Thursday, March 10, 2022 Plenary meeting of the Commission, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Environmental Management Commission is responsible for adopting rules for the protection, preservation and improvement of the state’s air, land and water resources. The commission oversees and adopts rules for several divisions of the Department of Environmental Quality, including the air quality divisions; Energy, mineral and land resources; Waste management and water resources.
