Warren appointed to lead environmental management


El Dorado County Board of Directors unanimously voted to appoint Jeffrey Warren as Director of Environmental Management. Her first day on the job was July 31.

Greg Stanton, who headed the department for a decade, retired in May.

Since Stanton’s retirement, Warren has served as Acting Director. Previously, he held the position of Head of Environmental Management from October 2016.

Warren’s experience includes over 25 years in the field of environmental health, working over 20 years in Orange County as a supervising environmental health specialist in the areas of consumer protection, bioterrorism / preparation and management of databases. He is a registered environmental health specialist with the California Department of Public Health.

“This is the crowning achievement of my career as an environmental specialist. I am very proud to be here, ”said Warren. “I had great leadership before I came here to replace Greg Stanton. He has been a great mentor and I look forward to continuing the tradition here.

His salary is set at $ 142,376 per year.

A graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Warren and his family live in Placerville.
