Karnal: Mount Litera Zee School, Karnal organized a 5 day environmental awareness program (June 8-12) virtually as part of World Environment Day. It was an initiative to give to highlight environmental problems, enable students to become agents of sustainable and equitable development, promote a change of attitude towards the environment and advocate the partnership between every human being and society for securing a secure future. Director Deep Bedi motivated the children to protect the environment. The students participated in various online activities.
Awareness of vaccination against Covid
Panipat: Up to 14 NCC cadets including Himanshu, Milan, Harman, Mohit Sharma, Fateh Singh, Shourya, Aryan Madan, Arshit Bharti, Shivam, Vinit Nagpal, Neerav, Mukul, Lakshay Bhardwaj, Aneek Goel of the wing NCC de Dyal Singh Public School in Panipat participated in a tree planting activity and motivated people about the Covid vaccination campaign. They led a campaign under the leadership of Lt Cdr Kapil Kumar Singh Commander, 1 Hr Naval Unit, Faridabad and Monu Singh CTO. Principal Vinita Kumar Tomar and principal of the school, Dr Neelam Vats, along with other teachers signed up for this movement and tagged other teachers in the school.
Online summer camp
Karnal: Tiny Tots from Pratap Public School hosted an online summer camp. Children were introduced to a range of basic cooking skills without fire. They were guided to make refreshing lemonade and different types of sandwiches. They made sandwiches with cheese, jam, butter, vegetables, etc. under the direction of their teachers. It was good to see the students transforming into little chefs and preparing food for their loved ones.
Shradha house first in the science quiz
Yamunanagar: Mukand Lal Public School, Yamunanagar conducted an online inter-house science quiz for grades VI-VIII. The quiz was conducted under the supervision of Dr Bhupinder Kaur Reen. The judges for the day were Shivani and Manju Arya. Sakshi Sikka was the scorer. The anchors Manju Kaushal and Kiran Manocha started the quiz. In the quiz, Shradha House (including Navya Arora, Ravish, Darshpreet Kaur, Kairavi Shekhar, Saanvi and Lakshay Paliwal) clinched the top spot. Satya House (including Manyu Goswami, Rudransh, Agrim Goel, Rishit Kharbanda, Disha Garg and Shruti) took second place. Shakti House (including Anshika Aggarwal, Mohd. Ibrahim, Aviral, Purvi, Akshat Sharma and Suryansh) took third place. Principal Shashi Bathla and school principal Dr Mamta Verma congratulated the winners.
47 units of blood collected
Yamunanagar: Study Center of Panchnad Research Institute, Yamunanagar organized a blood donation camp for the welfare and assistance of people affected by Covid-19 in society. Suresh Pal, president of the Panchnad Research Institute, in Yamunanagar, said 47 units of blood had been collected. Madan Chauhan, mayor of Yamunanagar-Jagadhari municipality, who was the main guest of the program, praised the efforts of the Panchnad Institute.
Organized summer party
Yamunanagar: The Home Science Association of Guru Nanak Girls College, Santpura, Yamunanagar held a Nationwide Online Inter-University Summer Fiesta 2021. The theme of the program was “Cake Making and Decorating: Development entrepreneurship in home science by creating start-ups Up to 650 students and professors from various colleges and universities in different states of the country have participated in this program.
Moral Values Web Conference
Yamunanagar: The Punjabi Department of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, held an online conference, “Moral Values and Ethics Web Conversation” for all college students. Keynote speaker Dr Gurinder Singh Handa, Head of Punjabi Department, Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Karnal, spoke to students about ethics.
Faridabad: The Communication and Media Technology Department of JC Bose University, YMCA, Faridabad organized a two-day online workshop on photography. During the workshop, professional photographer Nitin Arora shared his experience and knowledge in the field of photography with the students. The initial discussion topics were related to technical aspects of photography such as exposure, aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
